Young Ambassador

Dear fellow citizens and friends of Georgia, young

Welcome to the homepage of the Georgian Youth Network, a youth organization that was recently founded by Georgian students in the United States. The idea of the Georgian Youth Network derived from my project, ”Be your country’s Young Ambassador”initiated by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of State Minister for Diaspora Issues. The mission of the project is to raise awareness of the Republic of Georgia in ten foreign countries. In order to reach that goal the Ministry has selected ten young motivated students through a tough competition based on one-year project proposals that students from ten countries presented; the programs comprise of organizing events, deepening relations with non-governmental organizations, connecting young Georgians and gathering foreign fellows of Georgia to promote our rich culture in foreign states. I am humbled and honored to be one of the young ambassadors. Within the bounds of this project I gathered my fellows and created this network. We are excited at the prospect of supporting young Georgians who wish to study abroad and aid all our citizens who are in need of our help in the United States. This web-page gives our visitors opportunities to explore Georgian culture, discover Georgians in the United States and if they are Georgian citizens, have the chance to stay connected with their own roots. I hope you will find the Georgian Youth Network compelling and informative. Visitors of the website, both our American friends and Georgians residing in the United States, will stay updated with our blogs and learn more about issues related to Georgia.

Yours sincerely,

Ioseb Jorjoliani
Young Ambassador of Georgia to the United States
